Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 August 2026

Household Resilience, a division of Robin Hood Technology Inc. ("we", "our", or "us"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. By continuing to use our services, you agree to the updated terms.

1. Information We Collect

You can browse our store without providing personal information. When you build a pantry, save a shopping list, or place an order, we may collect:

  • Contact information - your name, email address, and phone number if you give us one.
  • Household information - the number of adults, children and pets in your household, and children's ages, which we use only to calculate how many days of food and water your pantry covers.
  • Delivery information - the address and postal code for an order, used to work out whether you are inside our delivery area and what the delivery fee is.
  • Order information - the items on your shopping lists and orders, and what is in your pantry.
  • Account information - your account details and sign-in activity.
  • Usage data - basic information about how you use the site, such as pages visited and features used.

2. Payment Information

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered directly into fields hosted by Stripe and are never received or stored on our servers. We keep only a Stripe reference that lets us charge the remaining balance of an order on your pickup or delivery day, as described at checkout, along with the amounts and dates of your payments.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Calculate how many days of food and water your household has covered
  • Take payment, and fulfil and deliver your orders
  • Communicate with you about your orders, including confirmations, receipts and updates
  • Send you a sign-in link when you ask for one
  • Answer messages you send us through our contact form
  • Maintain security and prevent misuse

4. Your Data & Inputs

Any information you provide about your household, your shopping lists and your pantry remains yours. We use it only to deliver and improve our services. We do not sell or publicly share your personal information.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with trusted service providers only as far as is necessary to run our services:

  • Stripe - to process payments
  • Mailgun - to send our emails
  • Google Cloud - hosting, data storage, and looking up the distance to a delivery postal code
  • Google Analytics - to understand how visitors use our site
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel - to measure and improve our advertising

These providers are required to protect your information and to use it only for the services they provide to us. Some of them may process data outside Canada.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember what you have added to a list, and keep the site secure. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of the site will not work without them.

We also use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand site traffic and measure the performance of our advertising. These set their own cookies and may share information about your visit with Google and Meta. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Meta uses your data through your Facebook ad preferences.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Canadian privacy laws, you may:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request corrections to inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal or operational requirements such as keeping records of completed orders
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

To make a request, contact us using the details below.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do ask how many children are in your household and their ages in order to calculate food and water needs; this is information about your household, not an account for a child.
